Jonathan was born in Houston while being raised by a single mother in El Salvador until the age of 10 then moved back to the US. He attended Bellaire High School while playing for RISE Soccer Club under coach Vedad. He received a full ride athletic scholarship to play NAIA D1 college soccer at Huston-Tillotson University where he majored with a degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. Today, Jonathan is a full time accountant. He coach because soccer is my passion, and to give kids the opportunity to grow individually and collectively because he believes that this sport teaches a lot of life lessons. Jonathan coaches for RISE because the club stands behind its values.
