Biography:

I am proud to be a Houston product in every way. I went to schools in HISD while playing for Houston Express, received my B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Houston, and my Masters in Education Leadership with Principal Certification from the University of St. Thomas-Houston. I am excited to be part of my home club where I played until 1994, and where my profession as a competitive coach got started. Houston Express Soccer Club, now RISE, continues to be part of my next generation: my son Christian played for the club for 14 years, now playing college, and my other two younger sons are currently playing for RISE under quality training and leadership. Soccer, or Futbol, is the common passion in my family life: playing the game, living the game, and experiencing the excitement of traveling to watch and study matches in Europe, the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the 2016 Copa America in USA, the 2018 World Cup in Russia, and the 2019 Copa America in Brazil; this is a passion I love to share with those who I teach.
