WIS Class Act school supply drive
July 30, 2009
(Columbia) - WIS is proud to help teachers in the Midlands get the supplies they need for their classrooms and their students in the Second Annual Class Act school supply drive.
Teachers all over the state spend hundreds of dollars of their own money to buy school supplies for their classroom. Many can't afford it. Last year dozens of very generous people donated time, money and school supplies to area teachers.
If you or your business would like to contribute to the education of South Carolina’s children, choose a county and find a teacher in need>> Click on your county, and search for the school or classroom you'd like to help.
To get in touch with the teacher click on the "Reply" button to provide your name, home and work phone numbers, email address and how you can help. Contact the teacher in need, and you can make arrangements to drop off your school supplies. Then let WIS know, so we can give you the credit you deserve!
Teachers, please post your needs here>> Just click on your county, then click on the "New" button, select "Discussion" and list what supplies you need to help educate your students. Be sure to enter your name, school, home and work phone and email, so people who want to donate can contact you.
WIS is not collecting donations. We are acting as a middleman for teachers and community members to get in touch with each other. While we hope that the community response is equal to the need, WIS cannot be held responsible for every need being fulfilled.
