Newsweek praises 22 S.C. schools
Tuesday, Jun 16, 2009
Twenty-two S.C. public schools have been recognized by Newsweek magazine for challenging their students through Advanced Placement courses, International Baccalaureate programs and more.
Six Midlands high schools — Dreher, Richland Northeast, Irmo, Dutch Fork, Spring Valley and A.C. Flora — are on the list.
The rating is not a measurement of the overall quality of the schools, according to the magazine, but looks specifically at challenging students with tough course work.
